Brief Introduction to CAWS
Registered in Ministry of Civil Affairs of China in 1997, CAWS is a national juridical trans-departmental, trans-industrial and trans-regional association in China’s warehousing and storage sector with members from China’s 10 major industries. CAWS has been a member of International Federation of Warehousing and Logistics Association (IFWLA) since 1998. Mr. Xu Wencai, former president of CAWS, was a chairman on duty of IFWLA during 2004-2005. There are three branches under the direct authority of CAWS, i.e. Sub-association of Transit Transportation, Sub-association of Cold Warehousing and Storage and Sub-association of Dangerous cargo Warehousing and Storage.

Mission of CAWS: To connect enterprises and governmental organizations, to provide suggestions on policy of warehousing and storage industry development, to facilitate the modernization of warehousing and storage industry and the development of modern logistics industry, to provide services to and to protect the legal rights of the members of CAWS

Principles observed by CAWS: Based on warehousing and storage industry, to perfect services to her members, to focus on her core business and to develop CAWS as a famous brand.
In last 10 years started from when CAWS was founded, Reports on supply and demand in National logistics Markets based on national logistics market studies has been published by CAWS for6 consecutive years. Meanwhile, Annual Seminar on Modern Logistics have been held in last 3 years. The 2005 World Congress of IFWLA was held in China in 2005, which was undertaken by CAWS and caused great influences on logistics at home and abroad. Since the year 2006, CAWS has been establishing and improving six service platforms including information, resources, cooperation, standard, training and exhibitions for China’s warehousing and storage industry.
